To
save time, the price book lets you create relationships
between parts in two ways.
- "Triggers"
allow you to define options and accessories
to include with any selected item.
- "Component
Lists" allow you to assign a sub assembly
that comprises of several parts that are linked
to a single item in your price book.
Using
these features, the price book can be configured
to handle standard products or components used
to build customer specific items.
The
standard parts and sub assembly database can be
modified using the price book editor. Part data
can be updated or new information added. To make
it easier to build and update your price book,
iQuote includes powerful import features to transfer
ASCII data and spreadsheet information electronically.
Authorization
to update the price book is password protected.
iQuote
automatically maintains a history log of price
changes, the dates that updates were made and
who made the change.
Cut and paste options let you
easily move data around and a search and retrieve
option allows you to quickly locate items by part
number or descriptive text. For example, you can
locate all parts in your database with "Laptop"
in the product description
